Welcome to Kitsap Adventist Christian School!

We believe that God has called us to provide a nurturing Christian environment where children are encouraged to seek God, serve others, and soar to success. Our goal is to partner with parents in this ministry of educational excellence, using the gifts that God has granted. Christ-centeredness is the core of all we do and we look forward to sharing with you the opportunities our small school offers.

Kitsap Adventist Christian School, a joint mission of the Bremerton and Port Orchard Seventh-day Adventist churches, offers a Christ-centered education for children from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Since 1941, we have been dedicated to providing the community with quality, accredited education.

Seek, Serve, Soar

We believe that God has called us to provide a nurturing Christian environment where children are encouraged to seek God, serve others, and soar to academic success. Our goal is to partner with parents in this ministry of educational excellence, using the gifts that God has granted. Christ-centeredness is the core of all we do and we look forward to sharing with you the opportunities our small school offers.

Kitsap Adventist Christian School, a joint mission of the Bremerton and Port Orchard Seventh-day Adventist churches, offers a Christ-centered education for children from Transitional Kindergarten (4.5 yrs) through 8th grade.  Since 1941, we have been dedicated to providing the community with quality, accredited education.

KACS was founded in 1941 with just 10 students, beginning in the basement of the Bremerton Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1972 it became a joint ministry of the Bremerton and Port Orchard Seventh-day Adventist Churches and by 1973, the school moved to its current location. Today, our peaceful, rural campus provides a rigorous academic curriculum within a nurturing and wholesome Christian community.

Our Mission

To foster the desire to seek God and serve others while providing a safe, nurturing community where students can soar to success.

Seeking God

At KACS, we strive to help students grow in their faith through weekly chapel, daily devotions, and Bible classes, guiding them to know the God who created them, loves them, and impacts their daily lives. We believe every student is unique and of infinite worth.

Our goal is to develop young people of strong moral character and to encourage meaningful relationships with their Creator.

We reach this goal through:

  • Bible-based holistic curriculum
  • Creation-based science
  • Chapel and Bible studies
  • Interactions with our caring staff

In a world filled with negative messages and uncertainty, Kitsap Adventist Christian School provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

We welcome, accept, and respect students of all faiths, fostering a community of kindness and belonging.

Serving Others

We value God’s creation and show our students ways to give back to the earth and humanity.

Through meaningful service projects, students gain perspective and learn to share God’s love in practical ways in our community and beyond.

Recent projects have included participating in Kitsap County’s Adopt-a-Spot program, mission trip to El Salvador, canned food drive for local food banks, providing Christmas gifts to families in need and creating Christmas cards for residents of a local nursing home.

Soaring to Success

KACS offers multi-grade classrooms that encourage peer interaction, strengthen social skills, encourage independence and foster personable responsibility.

Dedicated teachers provide personalized support, striving for academic success and focusing on essential skills involving digital literacy and responsible technology use.

Our creation-based science curriculum promotes critical thinking and problem-solving through engaging STEM projects, while our on-site library supports literacy, research, and inspires curiosity across all grade levels.

As an accredited member of Adventist Education, our proven approach equips students with the knowledge, character, and confidence to thrive both academically and personally. ”In all grades, in school of all sizes, students in Adventist schools outperformed the national average in all subjects.” (NAD Office of Education. Cognitive Genesis Overview. Retrieved March 08,2018). Journal of Adventist Education | CognitiveGenesis or Downl0ad PDF.

Prioritizing a Balanced Education

In addition to the core subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Bible, we also value the Arts and Physical Health.

At Kitsap Adventist Christian School, we recognize the vital connection between physical health and academic success. Our students benefit from regular recess, P.E. classes, and opportunities to play and explore our campus, which includes a playground, soccer field, and a spacious indoor gymnasium.

Classrooms feature flexible seating to support focus and engagement during learning activities.

Health education is integrated into our science curriculum, teaching students not only how the body functions but also how to care for it. Our hot lunch program, offered several times a week, provides balanced, nutritious meals to fuel growing minds and bodies.

Students in grades 4-8 can participate in a local Christian sports league, promoting coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and active living. Visit our Athletics page for more information.

Music education is offered to all grade levels at no additional cost, fostering creativity, motor and language development, and self-expression. Students participate in two annual programs, including a special Christmas program. Additionally, 5-8 grade students enjoy an annual arts festival in the Spring which includes music workshops with professional musicians at Auburn Adventist Academy. Through music education and seasonal programs students explore not only music but also drama, and public speaking. These experiences build confidence and enhance teamwork and leadership skills.

Fun and engaging art projects are integrated across all grade levels, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning in a variety of artistic mediums. These experiences not only inspire imagination but also support cognitive growth and problem-solving skills.

How to Support Our School

Tuition does not cover all of the school’s annual expenses. Together our two supporting churches each pay a subsidy to cover approximately 32% of our budget that is not covered by tuition which amounts to $137,128 annually. The generous financial support of the Bremerton and Port Orchard churches helps us keep our tuition rate lower than many other private schools in our area. Our budget also does not include large building projects or unforeseen building maintenance needs. For example, in 2024 we needed to replace the majority of our roof, resurface our gym floor and create additional storage. These expenses totaled over $100,000 and our churches shared in paying for these improvements. Fundraising efforts coordinated by our Home and School association can also help fund unexpected and/or large expenses in addition to supporting our sports programs, extracurricular activities, teacher/volunteer appreciation, birthday bags for students and other needs that may arise. The fundraising programs listed below help generate funds for our Home and School Association.
