
Mr. Reyes is our principal and teacher for grades 6 through 8. He recently relocated to Kitsap County from Grand Junction, Colorado in 2023 where he was a teacher and principal at Intermountain Adventist Academy. With a career spanning over 22 years in both Adventist and public education, starting in Texas before moving to Oregon in 2002, his recent move to Kitsap County is a return to familiar territory due to his strong family connections in the Northwest. Joel is a father of three—Benjamin, Josue, and Ashley—who are currently forging their own paths in various states. An avid nature lover, alongside his wife Jennifer, he relishes exploring the great outdoors. Passionate about education, Mr. Reyes is committed to the comprehensive development of his students—spiritually, socially, and intellectually. He particularly enjoys teaching history, his major in college, and appreciates the profound impact of literacy on personal growth. Mr. Reyes strives to make a meaningful contribution to the KACS community and to connect with the families of Kitsap County through his role in educational ministry. He received a Bachelors in Education from Burman University in Canada and has completed graduate studies in Administration at Andrews and Walla Walla University.
